Terms and conditions

By registering to contribute to this site, you agree that:

1. You license the use of your contributions to this website (Thereamid.com) under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike? 3.0 Unported License.
   1. Thereamid.com is not responsible for the content of the site, the individual contributors are. If you have an objection, you can take it up with a Moderator, but the final decision is up to them.
   2. However, we reserve the right to remove content from the site for any reason. We'll try to be reasonable about the process, but there will inevitably be times when the Mods or Admins will make a final decision.
   3. Illegal or unethical content will always be removed. This includes copyright infringement; plagiarism; any form of pornographic, sexually offensive, sexually explicit, or objectifying material; anything hateful, defamatory, harassing, or threatening; and anything in violation of any law.
2. Every account must be associated with a real person and only one person. Among other things this means:
   1. Writer accounts must have a valid email, currently-used email address.
   2. Only one Writer account per person.
   3. Every Character account must list its associated Writer account.
   4. You are permitted to have more than one character account, so long as each account lists your Writer account and your valid, current email address.
   5. You are responsible for everything posted by all of your accounts. Don't share them unless you're willing to share the blame for whatever happens.
3. You also agree to participate in the site in good faith, following the standards and ideals laid out in the Community Guide, Writing Guide, and Genre Guide.
   1. Especially adhere to the division of content types and editing rights found in the Community Guide, even if a technical failure accidentally grants you access to something you shouldn't be able to edit. Accidental edits are forgivable, but systematic vandalism is not.
   2. Be respectful of others: no personal attacks, no trolling, respect other's privacy.
   3. Don't abuse your editing privileges: the wiki and forums are easy to edit, but keep to the spirit of the Community Guide and don't mess with someone else's work. Don't delete your own posts just because you don't like the response or moderation, either.
   4. Respect Moderator decisions. Don't fight back.
4. These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice. This will probably only be as a last resort, or from learning a lesson, so don't do anything I wouldn't do and I won't have to invoke this clause.
