Here's a quick guide to getting along in our community.
- Pay attention to the Mods and Admins. If you get a warning, it's for your own good, likewise if you get asked to change the subject.
- No spamming, no trolling. The Mods get the final say for what counts. Repeatedly posting something that didn't get a response or deliberately provoking others harms the community.
- No personal attacks. Engage the idea, not the person.
- Don't argue with the Mods.
- If you aren't a Mod, don't try to do their job for them.
- Participate in the community. Talk in the forums, comment on the blogs, discuss the wiki pages. We want to get to know you.
- Everyone is limited to one Writer account. You must use a valid, current email address with that account.
- You can have as many Character accounts as you want, provided that they list your Writer Account and use the same, valid email address.
- We welcome role-playing, but only in the In-Character? sections of the site. But remember that every Character needs to have an Out-Of-Character? Writer. We want both you and your characters to participate in our community.
- Voting and comments are encouraged.
- Ratings should be an aesthetic judgement, not a personal attack. Respond to the work, not to the person.
- Contribute constructively to the site
- You don't have to write: just having fans posting comments can make a writer happy.
- In fact, don't be in such a rush to contribute that you forget to let us know who you are first.
- Don't mess with other people's work. Follow the Writing Guidelines.
- Have fun!
